A pilgrimage in India
Wow India…where to begin?!? There is soooo much to say…
…The epitome of Asia and all travel. That particular ambivalent love it / hate it relationship that every traveller dreams about. Oh yes, India is tiring, India is exhausting, India spills its overload of stress, noise, dirt, smell, unpleasant discomfort, you name it, on every foreign souls, but India is also one of the few places on the globe you can still get serious culture shock. India really is just so much it’s almost impossible to introduce and summarise, perhaps the only common theme is you’ll feel like all your senses are being assaulted, all at once.
It’s hard to understand and explain just why somewhere so often dirty, hot, disorganised and full of hassle has such an appeal, and leave such a profound mark on every visitors. I have hated India as much as I have slowly and insidiously learnt to love it…..for what it is…a fascinating chaos!
